Cardboard cutout masses circle around me, their savior.
Mannequins clap and pray fanatically, guide their arms.

Enamored with each plan I draw.
Even drivel is engraved as law.

I like my place on this grand throne,
spawned from the earth, like all my yearnings.
A world where no conditions wring,
my reign's untouched, from scrutiny of past lives.

Irides, encoded to sparkle when light crosses their path.
They swoon in its presence.

I knew I was destined for royalty, one way or another.
The warmth of my touch invigorates their... their impoverished souls.

Dangle morsels from my bounty,
They humor me with their scarcity.

I like my place on this grand throne,
where I decide, when the skies fall down.
Where dissent absorbed in the trees,
becomes that which, oxygenates their soft minds.

Approaching is a person in a cap with a profile of an eagle above the brim.
From a land that gives me heartache when I have to recall.

I see my minions' skins start to harden.
Azoic unlike, HEADTRIPS THAT SEIZE ON LUST THEN SHOW THEY WERE ALL FOR NAUGHT.
